Rally your current teammates, friends, lovers… that girl you met this weekend (a great excuse to text her!) and kick it old school-style with a little schoolyard fun. Below you will find all of the answers to all of your burning questions:

TEAMS

• Enter your own team; up to 10 players.
• Captains, register your teams ($150). Email rosters by June 10.
• If you don’t have team, register as a FREE AGENT and you will be assigned to a team ($20/person).
• Six players play on the court at the same time (see Rules here)
• Each team will play THREE matches per night (there are three games in one match)

DATES

• May 20: PARTY at Ginger’s. The fun starts at 9pm
• May 21: REGISTER NOW!
• June 6 (7-9pm): Open Play (optional) teams and free agents come out to practice!
• Location: Tony Dapolito Recreation Center (3 Clarkson St & 7th Ave S)

Tournament dates
ALL games are played between 7-9pm at Tony Dapolito’s.

• Monday, June 6 — Open Play (optional, but it’s good practice!)
• Monday, June 13 — Week 1
• Monday, June 20 — Week 2
• Monday, June 27 — Week 3
• Monday, July 11 — Week 4

REGISTRATION

• Online registration is now LIVE and will close once 10 team have registered.
• Cost: $150/team; $20/free agent (if you do not have a team)
• The first 10 teams to register will be entered in the tournament (we recommending choosing one person per team to register and do so QUICKLY because it will fill up fast).
• Registration CLOSES when 10 teams have successfully entered.

Upcoming Important Dates:
Monday, 1/24, 7pm-9:30pm: DRAFT OPEN PLAY. Everyone (it’s open to the public) interested in playing in the tournament is invited to come to the Tony Dapolito Center and play. Scope out people for your team. Scope out teams for yourself to join. Scope out each other for… whatever!

Wednesday, 1/26, 10am: TEAM REGISTRATION. The first ten teams to click here [registration link will appear here when it's ready], complete registration and payment process are the ten teams to play. Choose one representative from your team to register (and put the entire cost of registration on his/her credit card). Will not give refunds because more than one person registered your team.

Friday, 1/28 by 5pm: ROSTER SUBMISSION. Submit a complete and final roster to league@bigappledodgeball.com. Once submitted, no changes will be allowed.

Sportsmanship and Player Conduct
Poor sportsmanship will NOT be tolerated. The refs have the final say on ALL calls. Captains ONLY can address the refs. If a ref finds a player’s conduct unacceptable they can eject you from the gym. Rules can be found here.

If You Get Hit, Caught Out or Step Outside the Boundaries…
Get off the court. Doesn’t matter if the ref sees it or not — if you get hit, caught or step out — you are OUT. If you don’t abide by these rules, you are cheating and no one respects a cheater. Follow the rules, people. Play hard, and play fair.

3 Reasons to Get to the Gym EARLY
#1 – We’re taking a league photo at 6:45pm.
#2 – Is because as soon as a team wins two games, we will move on to the next match immediately.
#3 – We’re voting for team MVPs. Check in at the table UPSTAIRS when you enter the gym.

Bring Your ID and a Lock
Duh. We say it every week and it’s not that hard to remember, people.

Gym Guests
Guest must be on the guest list. Email your guest request to league@bigappledodgeball.com by 12pm Monday if you want them on the list. Note: Guests are NOT allowed to play dodgeball.
