Guests Who’s Coming to Dodgeball

Attention all dodgeballers! There is a new process for bringing guests on Monday nights.

If you would like to bring a guest(s) to dodgeball on Monday night, please send a request to guestlist@bigappledodgeball.com by 3:00 PM the day of play (this is not a negotiable time — 3:01 PM is too late!). They will be added to that Monday’s list. Please have your guest check in at the front desk when they arrive at Tony D’s. Please note, guests are NOT allowed to participate (due to membership and liability issues).

Women’s Dodgeball Open Play

Ladies, come out to the West Village Monday for some girls-only action. Haven’t played since 6th grade? It’s ok — it’s like riding a bike. Post-play everyone is invited to Henrietta Hudson’s to see if their flip-cup skills match their moves on the court.

Date: Monday, Jan. 25th at 7pm
Where: Tony Dapolito Recreation Center (3 Clarkson Street @ 7th Avenue South)
Cost: Free!

Post play drink specials at Hen’s:
$3 tap beers
$10 Bud, Bud light Wheat pitchers

Still haven’t got your dodgeball fix this summer? Come on out to show off that tan and get your game on in the final Open Play of the summer on Monday, August 10.

Trained professionals on closed course; please do not try at home.

When: Monday, August 10 @ 6:30pm
Who: EVERYONE is invited, so if you want to try it out before registering, now’s your chance.
Where: Tony Dapolito Recreation Center (directions here)
Cost: $5 donation for the Youth Enrichment Program (YES) at The LGBT Center

It’s Monday night, game night for NYC’s Big Apple Dodgeball league. The Tony Dapolito Recreation Center is packed with 20- and 30-somethings sporting mesh shorts and t-shirts. All eyes are on the showdown unfolding on the court before them. A lone girl contorts her body, narrowly avoiding the barrage of red rubber balls coming from the massive hulk of a guy on the opposing end of the court. As she desperately tries to avoid taking a “Marsha Brady” type shot to the nose, the onlookers chant her name, drowning out all other sound.
