FAQs

If I am going to miss a week, can someone else bowl for me? No. Absolutely not. There are no substitutions allowed. No one who is not on your team can bowl for you (including people not in the league at all AND people from other teams).

Which team am I on? Teams will be announced prior to the first week.  Stay tuned!

When should I get to the bowling alley? For the first week, please arrive by 2:30pm at the very latest (but try and get there at 1pm for the Opening Party Brunch!). This will give you time to pick up your shirt, get your shoes, find and meet with your team, and order a beer tower!

How many games will be played each week? As many as you can play in two hours.

How do I know which lane my team is playing on? Lane assignments will be posted on the website and around the bowling alley each week. We will be mixing it up every week to keep things fresh and fun.

How are we keeping score?
Scoring will be done as follows:

  • Each week teams will play as many games as they can in the 2 hours allowed.
  • The score that counts will be the team average of YOUR (individual) best complete game played. (If you played two and a half games, you’ll take the best score of the two full games you played, then divide that by the number of players.)
  • Each team captain will need to submit this score by 3pm Monday (Captains – you’ll get instructions on how to do this–if a team captain submits an inaccurate score or fails to submit completely more than once, then the team will receive a score of zero for that week).

Are there going to be after-parties? Obv. We’ll post them with the schedule/lane assignments.

How many teams are there? 25 teams of seven people.

Can I enter a team? No, BUT you *can* be placed on a team with one buddy. So, buddy up and register together!

How long is the season? When does it start/end? When do we play? It’s a 6-week season, starting on January 8 and ending on February 12. We bowl each Sundays from 3-5pm.

Where do we play? Frames (formerly Leisure Time Lanes) located at 9th Ave and 40th St.

How much does it cost? $100/person.

What do I get for $100? The fee includes two hours of bowling and shoes, plus 40% off beer towers!

Does this guarantee me registration for Spring dodgeball? No.
